[00:40.00]He's home when I'm awake but he shows up when I'm 'sleep
[00:42.00]I can't believe that there's a nightmare on my street[00:56.00]It was a Saturday evening if I remember it right
[01:00.00]And we had just gotten back off tour last night
[01:02.00]So the gang and I thought that it would be groovy
[01:05.00]If we summoned up the posse and bum-rushed the movie
[01:08.00]I got Angie, Jeff got Tina
[01:11.00]Ready Rock got some girl I'd never seen in my life
[01:14.00]That was all right though 'cause the lady was chill
[01:16.00]Then we dipped to the theater set to ill
[01:19.00]We saw Elm Street, and man, it was def!
[01:22.00]And everything seemed all right when we left
[01:24.00]But when I got home and laid down to sleep
[01:28.00]That began the nightmare out on my street![01:42.00]It was burning in my room like a oven
[01:44.00]My bed soaked with sweat
[01:45.00]And man I was bugging
[01:47.00]I checked the clock and it stopped at twelve-thirty
[01:50.00]It had melted it was so darn hot
[01:52.00]And I was thirsty
[01:53.00]I went downstairs to grab some juice in my coat
[01:56.00]Flipped the TV off and then I almost choked
[01:58.00]When I heard this awful voice coming from behind
[02:01.00]It said, You are my favorite rapper but now you must die!
[02:04.00]Man, I ain't even wait to see who it was
[02:07.00]Broke inside my drawers and screamed, So long, cous'!
[02:10.00]Got halfway up the block
[02:11.00]I calmed down and stopped screaming
[02:12.00]Then thought, Oh, I git it, I must be dreaming
[02:15.00]I strolled back home with a grin on my grill
[02:17.00]I think that since this is a dream I might as well get ill
[02:21.00]I walked in the house, the Big Bad Fresh Prince
[02:24.00]But Freddy killed all that noise real quick!
[02:27.00]he grabbed me by my neck and said
[02:28.00]Here's what we'll do

[02:49.00]I patted him on the shoulder and said, Thanks for stoppin' by

[02:54.00]He got mad, threw back his arm, and slashed my shirt
[02:58.00]I laughed at first, then thought, Hold up, that hurt

[03:03.00]I said, Freddy, uh, pal, there's been an awful mistake here
[03:06.00]No further words and then I darted upstairs
[03:09.00]Crashed through my door then jumped on my bed
[03:12.00]Pulled the covers up over my head
[03:14.00]And said, Oh please do something with Fred
[03:17.00]He jumped on my bed, went through the covers with his claws
[03:20.00]Tried to get me, but my alarm went off
[03:23.00]And then silence
[03:24.00]It was a whole new day
[03:25.00]I thought, Huh, I wasn't scared of him anyway
[03:28.00]Until I noticed those rips in my sheets
[03:31.00]And that was proof that there had been
